From data capturing in our in-house Motion Capture facility to creating realistic and dynamic handheld shots with our Virtual Camera system, we can help our clients to formulate an efficient and cost effective pipeline to achieve the finest quality from start to finish for any production, no matter how big or small. From the erratic complexities of creature movements to the emotionally tender performances of humans, we can capture and translate the data into sophisticated models to create the most realistic 3D characters possible. Virtual Camera

On the crest of a wave of new technology, the virtual camera is best employed to create realistic and dynamic handheld movements that are integrated into the captured data, saving many hours of keyframing in post. It can also be used in, or after, the real-time capture sessions, allowing director and DP the convenience and flexibility to explore, experiment and perfect their shots.

And now, we are teaming up with The Third Floor, an industry pioneer in Previs Animation, to provide a unique brand of services that will help shape the future of 3D entertainment.

Stereoscopic 3D Previsualization

For years previs has been used as a tool to help directors convey and test their ideas, without having to incur the cost of actual production, and to avoid slowing down the actual production or costly re-shoots.

Previs allows directors to experiment with staging, art direction, lighting, camera placement and movement, editing and so forth. But what about previs in Stereoscopic 3D? With the rate of 3D movie productions on the rise, it is essential for producers, directors, cinematographers, and other business and creative players to understand the benefit of, as well as the importance in, Stereoscopic 3D Previs.

Once converted into 3D, many "cool" shots in traditional 2D format can become 'flat' and ineffective, and the added 3D effect can sometimes change the focus of the shot, causing a sense of strangeness to the original edits and an added strain on the eyes. Even while viewing 3D in real-time on the set, one cannot see the actual final, edited 3D piece and how it will flow until now.

While 3D films have existed in one form or another since 1890, they have, until now, been largely relegated to a niche in the motion picture industry due to the costly hardware and processes required to produce and display them. The recent explosion of digital media technology, however, has changed all this. Now filmmakers have the ability to immerse their audiences in rich stereoscopic imagery without being dependent on massive studio budgets to do so.

Both accompanying and driving this change in technology, the record breaking box office success of James Cameron's Avatar, 70% of which is credited to 3D screens, has proven that audiences worldwide have an interest in the medium. And while it has been limited to theaters, this year ushers in a new era as major consumer electronic industry leaders, including Sony, Samsung, JVC, and Panasonic to name a few, are bringing 3D into the home with new television, Blu-Ray and video game console releases.

Body Capture

Unlike conventional Motion Capture studios, our MoCap volume can be adjusted freely to meet the needs of the project scope, making our studio customizable to the unique requirement of each individual production. Not only can we accommodate the demands of a twenty-person plus Body Capture session, but also the more intimate Facial Capture session with only a single performer.

We offer Real-time Visual Projection, Camera Referencing and Data Management, Sets and Props production, as well as Data Clean-up and Retargeting. We strive to provide the best possible solution to our clients worldwide.

In addition to full body Motion Capture, our 'Voice-Over and Facial Capture' - or "VOCap" - studio provides fully synced facial performance capture with professional quality ADR.

Voice-Over and Facial Capture

Facial capture can be scaled anywhere from 50 to 200 markers, which allows VOCap to monitor and record the smallest of facial reactions. Through capturing these expressive nuances, an authentic 'virtual' performance is guaranteed, and by recording the ADR simultaneously, there is no need to endure the arduous process of matching pictures, which can ultimately save both time and money.

From virtual casting and audition to localizing foreign scripts for the U.S. market, our experienced ADR team works closely with producers throughout all phases of the production process to ensure quality and result.
