Director/Producer Takuya Shibata began his career in Japan doing production work on Independent Films before moving on to work as an Assistant Director for various successful television projects. In 1998, alongside Kenya Sawada, he co-produced the Japanese-Hong Kong production Extreme Crisis/Project B. Working in Hong Kong beneath the guidance of the films star and producer Kenya Sawada, Takuya experienced, firsthand, the trials and hardships of producing an international co-production.

Upon his return to Japan he produced various commercials and opening title sequences for MTV Japan, often working with a minimal budget that forced him to be creative and produce high production value presentations within tight restraints. He proved his worth time and time again and was featured in many Japanese magazine publications in recognition of his achievements. He later went on to work for Sony Computer Entertainment on the animated project Arc the Lad. In addition to co-writing the scenario, he also produced the music and sound, exposing him to a new world of possibilities.

Together with Reuben Langdon, Takuya co-founded Just Cause Productions, LLC in early 2002. The company thrived and following its success Shibata and Reuben founded Just Cause Productions, Inc in 2005 and are currently in production on a number of film and high profile video game projects. With each endeavour, Takuya challenges the norm as he continues to create new trends by combining professional teams with innovative ideas.
