
Director/Action Director
Born and raised in Yokohama, Japan, Ken Ohara's personal and passionate desire to create quality action films took him to Los Angeles, California at the young age of 20. He attended Los Angeles City College and majored in Film and was awarded the Best Picture Award twice for films he directed. These films went on to be screened in theatres in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
After graduating from LACC in 2002, Ohara returned to Japan to work as action director on the Japanese production, "So Soldier". Later that year to returned to the US and worked on the Playstation 2 game, "Rise To Honor" in which he directed and edited the documentary featuring world-renowned action star, Jet Li. In 2004, Ohara had the honor of working on "Astro Boy" with legendary anime creator Osamu Tezuka. Ohara directed and edited the documentary feature for the US DVD release, "Remaking of Astro Boy". Following this, he went on to work for the American TV series "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight" as action director and also on "When The Cobra Strikes". Since then, he has been working steadily on a variety of projects ranging from successful video games to movies, TV series' and commercials, music videos, anime and also as a coordinator for stunt and wire action.
